HOD & NETZACH

The title of this book is a reference to the 7th and 8th spheres of the "Tree of Life" of the Qabalah; a map of consciousness for personal development and self-realization. Hod & Netzach is the 20th path of 32 connecting paths of the Tree. The path is The way of Destiny. Hod & Netzach - the balancing of thoughts and feelings, usually achieved through allowing the experience and expression of both.

There are three versions of this book:

Colour form This book is a square folded in half. Each page is silk-screen printed on both sides, and the colours of each page is determined by the shape itself. The first page, a cyan square folded in half is the starting point where the subsequent ever decreasing pages are the stages of transformation from a square to a triangle; triangle to a circle and then circle back to the square. Only when the book is viewed half way is the full process visible. Each turn of a page gives you a unique image never repeated again throughout the book.

The book is bound in the traditional way, screen-printed with water based ink on 71 gsm hand made Bunkoshi paper, and cut by the artist.

  • Edition of 9 copies only. all numbered and signed by the artist.

White form This book is identical in structure to the previous coloured one, but only white paper is used so that only the form of the pages are playing the important role of transformation.

The book is bound in the traditional way, with shapes cut by the artist on 250 gsm Somerset paper.

  • Edition of 5 copies only, all numbered and signed by the artist.
